Priming the vertical stabilizer in the rudder and the Elon

21:26So today was the first day of the painting process. I've spent the last couple of weeks prepping the parts which includes sanding with 220 grit sandpaper using a scotch bright pad and generally scuffing up the surface to get the primer ready to stick. Today was the first day of actually shooting parts. I've been shooting test parts up until today just to get a feel for the gun and the primer and the application of the material in general. I think these parts which just include the Alon and the vertical stabilizer and the Rutter came out pretty good. I did get a little tiny run on the Rutter but synthesis is primer it's no big deal it'll just stand right out. Tomorrow I'll work on the horizontal stabilizer and the elevator. The last thing I'll shoot with the primer are the wings.
